Energy conservation is not typically considered a part of national security strategy. However, many of the conflicts around the world have been linked to the competition for natural resources. ![]() Note: The top per capita energy consumers are: Qatar, Iceland, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Luxembourg, Netherland Antilles, Kuwait, Trinidad and Tobago, Canada and the United States.
