Race by Gender:

In FY 2008, new Army recruits made up 16% of recruits overall. However, there was great variation by race and ethnicity. Black recruits are far more likely to be female, with 27%. Native Americans and Asian recruits are also more likely to be female, as are Hispanics recruits.
