National Priorities Project has updated its Federal Budget 101: Budget Charts with data from the FY2011 budget. These charts are visual representations of federal budget data using the same federal budget categories found in NPP's President's Budget and Tax Day publications.
The updates include yearly charts of the federal discretionary budget from FY2006 through FY2011, as well as charts depicting federal revenue sources for each year, FY2006 through FY2011. There are charts that illustrate, for example:
Updates also include comparison charts showing total federal outlays in 12 categories for the last four Bush budgets (2006-2009) and the first two Obama budgets (2010-2011) as well as historical charts tracking the level of federal debt (1940-2015) and deficit (1930-2015).
